MEP Quantity Surveyor – Battery Plant – Hull We are currently partnering with a well renowned engineering contractor with presence across life sciences, commercial, power stations, advanced technology and Data Centre sectors. Due to continued success, they are looking to strengthen their team even further with an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor in Hull. Manage all mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) cost elements, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and budget adherence throughout the lifecycle of the battery plant project.
• Procurement & Subcontract Management:
Lead the procurement of MEP packages, including tender analysis, contract preparation, and negotiation. Administer subcontractor accounts and ensure timely payments and change control.
• Valuations & Cost Reporting:
Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, final accounts, and monthly cost/value reconciliations, providing clear commercial insight to the project team and senior stakeholders.
• Change Management & Variations:
Identify, assess, and manage variations and change orders, ensuring all changes are commercially tracked, justified, and agreed with the client and subcontractors.
• Collaboration & Compliance:
Work closely with design, planning, and delivery teams to align cost control with project progress. Ensure all MEP works comply with technical specifications, contractual terms, and industry standards.
Must have 4+ years’ experience on Battery Plant or similar large-scale construction projects
Must live within commutable distance of Hull
